The Original Venice Skatepark Reopens Its Ramps
Venice Beach, the OG skateboarding capital of the world, has just reopened its ramps, following a community-led drive supported by the Nicolai Marciano Fund and The Skatepark Project. The occasion was, of course, honoured in style with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that commended the impact the space has had on skateboarding culture and beyond since the 1970s. The likes of pro skating legend Jesse Martinez and Zephyr Skateboards founder Jeff Ho among others, shredding across the hallowed grounds into the late afternoon.
Marciano, who is the current creative director of Guess Jeans, highlighted the importance of the event, sharing how the rich history has strengthened Venice as a community and inspired generations of skateboarders and artists for many years. Read more about the project here.
