Hermès: SS27
“The shape of air.” Spring Summer '27 was a tangible collection grounded by the lightness of Nadège Vanhée's intuition. A summer breeze with liminal colours of sunrise and sunset. Easy, fresh. Above all, it had a youthfulness with drawstring parkas ballooning as the models walked; high-waisted pants with zippered legs, to be opened or closed ‘for ventilation’; fabulous soft suede moccasin knee high boots and strappy leather ankle thongs.
The soft leather dresses slashed in multiple panels to the thigh were winners - all movement and drama. The silk print scarf top twisted over a bandeau was Euro summer ready - ready for the heat of the city streets or Santa Margherita.
Sheer fine chiffon skirts anchored by zips floated by. A little sporty. The show space was a sweltering hot box of a stark white cube, which added to the intensity of the searing Hermes orange. The pale and the vivid. We wanted to be wearing this collection already.
