They showed up, they designed expertly and they conquered as a collective. Haluminous, Ouse, Paris Jade Burrows, Madre Natura, Rose Guiffre and Suzaan Stander together brought something super special to AFW: a nicely dark, gothic romance tinged with sensuality. Each designer stepped into their power exploring their personal DNA expertly proposing that women can dress with swagger, individuality and strength.

In the lead up, there were discussion about warriors, armour, grunge, fluidity, heritage, and liquid leather. At its heart, great fashion is all about inspiring a conversation that makes us want to join in. The Frontier 2026 was thoughtful and we were proud to be part of it with the super-styling by 10 contributors Peter Simon Phillips and Tori Knowles; show direction by Chantel Covey-Lane; and the music composed by maestro Joel Farland. Forty eight models wore the eight looks from each of the designers who stood into the light (designed by the Joey Sadler), and Amé Delves choreographed the models brilliantly. There was the transformative hair by Schwarzkopf’s Jason Fassbender and Dee Parker Attwood, with brilliant makeup by 10 contributor Nicole Thomson aka Pinkie, using Make Up For Ever.
