LOUIS VUITTON TEAMS UP WITH THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN
'Tis the season for a trophy trunk announcement, and Louis Vuitton is in first place. Overnight the House has become the Official Trophy Trunk partner of the Australian Open, the opening Grand Slam tournament of the season. As we know, Louis Vuitton do a great trophy trunk. This time, two bespoke trunks have been created: the Daphne Akhurst Memorial cup for women and the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup for men.
Handcrafted by the Louis Vuitton artisans, the wooden frame is expertly covered in the LV Monogram canvas, with brass corner protectors, locks and clasps, and two front panels which fold back to reveal the trophies inside. The best part? The interior is painted with a striking white V - for Victory (and Vuitton). Both cases are lined with blue microfibre in spirit of the signature blue courts. Ready, set, game.
