CAROLINA HERRERA PRESENTS LA BOMBA
“If the fragrance is wonderful, the bottle must be spectacular," says Carolina A. Herrera. We concur, and the brand's new fragrance, announced over the weekend is housed in the most brilliant fragrance bottle we've seen. La Bomba is the fruity, floral fragrance inspired by Diana Vreeland's nickname for Herrera herself, and crafted by master perfumers Christophe Raynaud, Quentin Bisch and Louise Turner.
The scent has been created with bold, beautiful people in mind who live "in full colour and full volume". La Bomba takes the form of a poptastic pink quartz jewel-like butterfly, symbolic of the insects beauty and transformational nature. "The butterfly reflects nature’s creative power and wild beauty. Like a butterfly, you can’t quite capture it, but it leaves a lasting impression,” Herrera explains. “It also symbolises rebirth and, in many ways, the power of fashion and beauty to reveal the most radiant side of a person; the power of transformation.” La Bomba, indeed.
