We like starting the week on a sustainable note. Bulgari has announced their commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility through their first webinar 'Innovating the Present for a Sustainable Future'. "Bulgari strongly feels the responsibility of continuing inspiring the world, by reimagining and reinventing its work to craft the future of luxury," the brand said, announcing the launch of the Bulgari Virus Free Fund. The Fund will support the University of Oxford ºs Jenner Institute, which brings together investigators who are working at developing a number of different vaccines, as well as Rome ºs Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases, that Bulgari has continuously supported since the beginning of Covid-19, by providing funds for the purchase of a hi-tech microscope. "For us to continue to make world-leading advances against infectious diseases we need more excellent young scientists to join the field of vaccinology, and access to the most up to date equipment for our laboratories," said Sarah Gilbert, a Professor of Vaccinology at the University of Oxford. "This generous gift from Bvlgari addresses both of these needs, and will continue to have an impact for many years to come." The Fund will also create two scholarships covering four years of a PhD program.

Bulgari will continue their collaboration with Save The Children, which has raised almost $100 million to benefit over 2 million disadvantaged children across the world, and in the coming months, customers who purchase products included in the Save The Children range or who want to make a donation to the Virus Free Fund will be able to digitally track the journey of their donation and see the effects of their input. The company has already adopted a Plastic Free Policy in 2019 and has announced its hotels and resorts will be plastic free by the end of 2020.
