Alexander McQueen’s fresh-faced creative director Seán McGirr has just released the first anticipated glimpse of his vision for the beloved British brand. Following in the footsteps of Lee McQueen’s successor, Sarah Burton, who held the creative directorship for 13 years, the Dublin-born designer has kicked off his tenure with a campaign featuring long-term friends of the label, models Debra Shaw and Frankie Rayder. Donning chrome, skeleton masks backdropped by a sun-dappled pine forest, the images also feature a refreshed version of the McQueen logo. A balancing act between the brand’s past and future, the release is an exciting taste of what’s to come.
