The revival of 'messy girl' and the 'indie sleaze' era means that Isabel Marant is in her bag - or, Kim Bekker is, the recently appointed creative director who has been Marant's right hand woman for over a decade. With the comeback of the brand's iconic Bekett sneaker, it seems that young women are striving to wear Isabel Marant right now. Her clothes defined that 2009-2011 time of layering, 'undone' hair, loose denim and animal prints. It made sense then that Bekker looked to her own pieces from the brand's 2010 collection for inspiration.

The Isabel Marant woman has grown up a little since then: now she's pairing her distressed embroidered washed denim with billowing blouses, silk bombers, fur jackets and a whole lot of leather. Bekker has confessed she is "obsessed with the time period [2010]" - aren't we all right now - and dreamt of the ultimate Parisian fashion girl running around fashion shows and simply living her best French-girl life.
