Welcome to the jazz age. Rewind 100 years, a time of change in music, art, fashion, politics - a cultural quake. This was the inspiration for the SS26 Ferragamo collection and Maximilian Davis delivered with all the lightness of now. Referencing Josephine Baker and Harlem,  there were slithery fringed sashes, flapper dresses, satin lace edged slip dresses. The only element missing were the feather boas (thankfully). There was no sense of costume and so it worked. The shoes had neat new kitten F heels supporting at an almost 45 degree angle. Gold strapped ankle chains and cutaway sides put the fetish ever so gently into Ferragamo. The men’s oversized angular zoot suits were equally accomplished and the blistering white shirt and ties added an edge of nostalgia. But we would be happy to wear it right now.
