Fluid, soft, light, relaxed. All the codes of Emporio Armani were here youthful, sporty, bohemian, and all so poignant. Mr Armani is gone, but his quietly determined spirit lives on and the business goes on. The collection was everything he has always given us:  the nonchalance, the ease, the effortlessness of Armani dressing. The colours were faded and subtle, washed by the ocean, bleached by the sun. It was elemental and packed with everything he loved. Hot shots of pink and an energy of escapism, beauty, intelligence and always empowering. Mr Armani put the male into female from the beginning. As the finale finished, the audience stood clapping, some in tears, waiting, hopeful.
