Inside the new Balenciaga store in Sydney lies a treasure chest of legendary archival pieces. As part of a new exhibition to celebrate the store's opening, the House has carefully curated a small collection of Cristóbal Balenciaga pieces, featuring dresses worn by Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich, Annabel Buffet, and more. Situated upstairs, the glass cased pieces are lit up in a dark couture salon-like room, like a very exciting well-kept secret.

The dresses hold a significant part in the House's history, chosen to emphasise the bond between the brand and its historical clients. Like an interlude on the journey from the ready-to-wear men's and women's excellence downstairs, to the shelves of shiny new Balenciaga bags and more on the second floor, the exhibition is a reminder of the House's fabulous history and craftsmanship.
