All aboard Louis Vuitton’s new concept store

All aboard The Louis. Anchored in the heart of Shanghai’s Wujiang Road, Louis Vuitton’s latest space is no ordinary flagship, but a boat-shaped fantasia of fashion, culture and café society. Shaped like a monumental trunk-turned-ship and swathed entirely in shimmering monogram, the structure pays tribute to the house’s sea-slicked heritage as well as Shanghai’s port city soul. Inside, visionary scenography by Shohei Shigematsu unfurls across two soaring floors, where archives, ateliers and artistry collide in a voyage through Louis Vuitton’s past, present and future.
Expect a Trunkscape installation, olfactive treasures, bespoke hot-stamping and literary relics along the way. Top deck? Le Café Louis Vuitton: a gilded gastro trip offering everything from monogrammed ravioli to jasmine-spiked pavlovas. The Louis sets a dazzling new course for the maison, anchoring its material heritage in pure fantasy.
