|
Written By:

Cartier have ventured into the wild to celebrate the history of the legendary Panthère De Cartier collection and remembering their fearless leader, the first female creative director of Cartier, Jeanne Touissant. With a wild pop-up in Melbourne earlier this month, Cartier have created their Australian Pantheré tribe, including Australian actress Olivia DeJonge, who will play Priscilla Presley in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis biopic:

10 Magazine: What makes you feel wild?

Olivia DeJonge: "Good food, good music, good company. And good wine."

10: You're part of Cartier's Panthère tribe - who is in your tribe?

OD: "My friends Bebe and Ali. My mum. Oprah Winfrey if I could."

10: What music are you playing when you're wearing your Cartier Panthère pieces?

OD: "Talking Heads, Joe Crocker, The Alabama Shakes. Some Rihanna too. Maybe even chuck The Beatles in as well."

10: This collection was created by Cartier's first female Creative Director - what do you love about being a woman?

OD: "I love the depth of friendships. And that woman to me are resilient and fierce."

10: Sneak peek - how has it been filming Elvis?

OD: "We are just rehearsing now! Having the best time exploring the script and doing as much research about Priscilla, Elvis and their journey as I can. It's been wonderful."

10: And what's it like working with Baz and CM?

OD: "They're such icons in their own right and really lovely to work with. The collaborative nature of their sets are such a dream."

10: You must be having a field day with the costumes! Tell us what you can...

OD: "Absolutely!!! I can't say very much other than WOW. I'm excited for everyone to see it come together."

10: What have you learnt from playing Priscilla Presley so far?

OD: "The importance of loving with your whole heart."

10: What has it been like watching Austin Butler transform into the King of Rock?

OD: "It's exciting. The first time I heard him sing I cried. He's got a really inspiring work ethic and commitment to the role. He's truly great."

10: If Priscilla were to wear Cartier Panthère, what would be her chosen piece?

OD: "I think it'd be the Panthére necklace I wore to the event. Such a strong and bold and fierce piece."
