Let’s go round again, beauty pickers. What’s made the Beauty Top Ten charts this month? Read on to find out.

In at Number One we have Rodial and their Bronzing Glow Drops. This is a fabulous little glow-giver that can be used before makeup, mixed with foundation or simply used alone to give a hint of bronze and make skin look sun kissed and happy – so ideal for low maintenance holiday makeup. Plus, it isn’t just about looks appeal. This comes packed with skin friendly ingredients including niacinamide, white star grass, and squalane to help even tone, brighten, soften and hydrate. It’s glowing for gold.

At Number Two we’re joining the general jubilation for the arrival of Prequel Skincare. This US derm-founded brand is all about giving the basics of skincare their own little makeover – but keeping it affordable. Think all your routine essentials but with added benefits. Favourites include the Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Oil, Cleanser, and the ceramide-rich Half and Half Fluid Moisturiser. Smart skincare that keeps it simple.

Number Three sees Kosas return to the charts, this time with their new Impressionist Multistick and continuing our low maintenance beauty theme. This really is as simple as the name makes it sound: a creamy stick of colour that can be swiped on to cheeks and lips (and even eyelids) to give a natural flush to the face with the absolute minimum of effort. A great little pal to pack for your holibobs and also an almost too easy way to do your makeup on a busy morning.

At Number Four we welcome back Merit to the charts this month, this time for their Clean Volume mascara. With a Japanese tubing formula and a small brush for precision delivery, this is a clean formula that doesn’t clump or flake or feel heavy. It just an easy swipe to add volume and definition. Available in black and brown and with 16-hour staying power. We have lashings of love for it.

We’re halfway through our July chart as we reach Number Five and we turn to haircare with Oribe and their Hair Alchemy Bond Building Elixir, with a natural ingredients including chia seeds and bio-fermented bamboo, which helps restore broken hair bonds and thereby deliver stronger hair with more flexibility. Yes, it’s all sounds like a gym routine for that stuff that sprouts out of your noggin, and that very concept has also given rise to some of the best fitspo and leotard ad imagery that we’ve seen since the Eighties – and for that we’re eternally grateful.  And it requires little work itself to use: a lightweight serum, apply after shampoo and conditioner and then style hair however you like. A little goes a long way.

If you’re looking for a new summer fragrance, then at Number Six we have the answer with the new Beauty Pie offering: Stole The Morning Eau de Parfum. It’s a cheery, joyful number that feels sunny and carefree and bottles that summer escape feeling. Notes include jasmine, rhubarb and pear as well as soft musk, moss and tonka but the end result is neither too fruity, not too floral, nor too nuzzly. It’s the kind of a smell that makes you want to go out and embrace the day – whatever it might entail you know it’s gonna be good.

Continuing the idea of ideal getaways, this month sees new SPF brand Alta Marea enter the chart at Number Seven. This is a new fancy pants suncare range that’s made in Italy but based the UK and offers lightweight silky textures with protection working alongside a peptide complex to help care for skin. It also boasts lush aromas: the body products – La Seta Sheer Sun Silk SPF50 and La Crema Nourishing Body Milk for after sun care – have a signature fig, bergamot and solar florals fragrance. The La Luce Daily Sun Serum SPF50 for face has a naturally-occurring amaretto scent. They all come in elegant packaging in shades of claret and sage and are all vegan.

At Number Eight we’re nailing it this winter thanks to Leighton Denny, the cheeriest nail guru you could hope to meet. To celebrate 21 years at the helm of his brand he has released a limited-edition crystal nail file embellished at one end with holographic little crystals. The file was first launched in 2005 and has become a nail care icon in its own right – kind to nails, you can use it in any direction and it won’t harm nail health.

At Number Nine we’re making a slight exception this month as we wouldn’t normally celebrate simple shade additions but since we haven’t tipped a nod to Haus Labs Atomic Shake Lip Lacquer before we figured it was a good time to do it as they add some Sheer shades to the offering (blush – mauve pink, petal – peachy pink, sienna -caramel brown) all of which offer up to 8 hours of high shine. This is a non-sticky kind of a gloss – texture-wise if feels as if you’re put nothing on at all but gives that lacquer finish it promise and keeps lips moisturised too. Pucker up, buttercups.

And rounding off our chart this month at Number Ten is luxury organic skincare brand Ilā with their new RegenX Wellness Atelier which has opened in London’s Marylebone. Ilā has always been known for delivering treatments as high level as their products and already operates a Maison ilā retreat in France. Now, this new outlet is all about helping to regulate the nervous system and generate lasting change towards wellbeing. From cold laser therapy, advanced light therapies, IV drips, breath and somatic work it’s all about bringing the whole body and self into balance. One to book in for our next LFW trip.
