LUCY FOLK LAUNCHES 'STILL LIFE'

|
Written By:

Lucy Folk is feeling grounded for AW23. The Australian designer's new collection, Still Life, was inspired by Lucy’s every day life, featuring organic materials to create sculpted metals and using precious stones like jade. With a palette inspired by the Ayurvedic gardens of India, the collection is down to earth and thoughtful as all Lucy Folk collections are, including delicate hand-beaded embroidery and fringing.

For the campaign, Lucy turned to the local community of visionaries and innovators in Arakwal Country in Australia. Photographed by James Tolich, the campaign sees the Still Life in its ultimate elements: in nature and at home. “Having a strong creative community fuels me personally, the brand and collection thematic,” Lucy tells 10 Magazine. “Still Life really outlines/celebrates some of these talented wonderful humans and I hope encourages the wearer to be more creative in their natural habitat. From wholesome real cooking for your family with Carter. The magic energy of Jack from the Babe Rainbow. Palisa’s incredible farm of exotic foods that really are the best medicine to Martin’s foraged mushroom are finds that can arouse your inner wild foodie. The poetry of Waangenga’s movement and the energy of his meditation and love muse Kaz. Andrew and Michelle and their secret hilltop casa full of nostalgia from Michelle’s days in NYC and surfboards that are almost too cool to use.”

The collection is available online and in all Lucy Folk boutiques.
