Who wouldn’t like to sleep with Kate Moss? Well, now one lucky art collector can. The super has posed for a triptych of NFT portraits created by the @MITNFT art collective. The three digital Kate Moss images will be auctioned next week to raise money for Adwoa Aboah’s Gurls Talk initiative, but are available to view from today.

‘Drive with Kate,’ shows the iconic model driving her soft-top sports car. ‘Walk with Kate,’ shows her on a walk and ‘Sleep with Kate’ captures her snoozing. Moss has worked with several artists over the course of her career including Lucien Freud, Marc Quinn and Sam Taylor Wood. She’s never been afraid to experiment with her image, so it’s no surprise to see her exploring the burgeoning world of NFT art.

The NFT craze has swept the art world, with digital pieces fetching staggering amounts. Beeple’s digital artwork, ‘Everydays: The First 5000 Days’ sold at Christie’s for $69m, in March, making him the third most expensive living artist behind Jeff Koons and David Hockney. Grimes recently sold digital videos and NFT artworks for $6m and Jack Dorsey – the Twitter founder – sold an autographed NFT version of the first-ever tweet on his platform for $2.9m.

If, like us, you struggle to get your head around the idea of an NFT, here’s a helpful explanation: NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. Non-fungible means it can’t be swapped for anything else and is therefore unique. A class of cryptocurrency assets, it is a unit of data on the digital blockchain ledger, where each NFT can represent a unique digital item, and thus they are not interchangeable. NFTs can represent digital files such as art, audio, videos, items in video games and other forms of creative work.
