It's campaign season and Dior has channelled strength and power, featuring Italian artist Mariella Bettineschi's 'The Next Era' artwork. Created in 2008, the piece is a work in progress, featuring portraits of women by Raphael, Palma il Vecchio, Leonardo, Titian, Caravaggio and Bronzino set in contrast to photographs of nature and landscapes. The ever-changing installation served as the setting for the Dior AW22 show, and now Maria Grazia Chiuri's designs play out amongst it. Photographed by Brigitte Niedermair, the Dior girls channel the women in Bettineschi's portrait, feeling that experimental playfulness infused in the collection, a newfound cabinet of curiosities.
