What watch are you wearing?

It’s a Cartier Santos-Dumont. Tell us about it. It’s one of my favourite easy-going pieces – timeless, elegant and versatile. It’s the kind of watch I can wear with almost anything, which makes it my daily go-to.

How did you come to own it?

In 2021, I decided to treat myself to something simple yet refined, and the Santos-Dumont felt like the perfect choice.

What’s the story behind it?

There’s actually a bit of a story. For a long time, I stopped buying expensive watches. I had lost a Rolex at the airport on my way to the Middle East and, years before that, my daughter had accidentally thrown my Longines watch in the trash when she was little. After that, I told myself I was done spending on watches. But in 2021, I felt ready again and wanted something classic and easy to wear every day. That’s when I chose the Cartier.

What do you love about it and why is it your favourite?

I love how effortlessly it complements any outfit. Whether I’m dressed up or casual, it always fits the moment. That’s what makes it special to me.

When do you wear it and what do you wear it with?

I wear it almost every day, with tailoring, denim or even a simple tee. It has this versatility that makes it work for nearly every occasion, except maybe when I’m playing sports.

What would be a dream watch for you to own?

A Patek Philippe Nautilus in rose gold, it’s such an icon. I would love to invest in one someday.
