Marc Jacobs Unveils JOY

|
Written By:

Marc Jacobs is bringing a much-needed dose of joy to our lives with his most expansive creative effort in recent years. Building on his legacy of culture-defining collaborations, the brand has joined forces with some of the most exciting names in contemporary art and global culture – from Derrick Adams, David Shrigley and Hattie Stewart,Converse, Crayola, Barbie, Moleskine, Gibson, SHUT Skateboards, Brompton and Maxbone.

At the heart of this vision are bold capsule collections co-created over the past year with Adams, Shrigley, and Stewart. Each artist transforms classic Marc Jacobs styles into wearable interpretations of Joy, infusing jewellery, apparel and accessories with their signature creative flair.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. The Joy initiative spills into an unprecedented set of collaborations across music, play, sport and lifestyle – think limited-edition Converse sneakers, Crayola and Moleskine sets, Gibson guitars, Barbie dolls, SHUT skateboards, Brompton bikes, and luxe Maxbone pet accessories. There’s truly something for everyone, from fashion lovers to our four-legged companions.

To bring the campaign to life, Marc Jacobs will launch a series of immersive installations across NYC, London, Paris and Tokyo, including landmark takeovers at Nordstrom’s NYC flagship, Galeries Lafayette, Isetan and The Standard High Line. True to form, one of fashion’s campiest kings knows how to leave a mark (pun intended) – and with Joy, he’s done it again.
