Jude Bellingham & Callum Turner For Louis Vuitton
Jude Bellingham sitting pretty in the prim garden of a countryside estate, a jet black German Shepard stationed at his side like a statue. Callum Turner kicking back behind the wheel of a cream-coloured convertible, a subtle smoulder in his expression – a bucolic dandy entirely at ease. An adorable Australian Shepard, the new LV Keepall Bandoulière 25 bag clutched between its canine teeth. These are the kind of home-footage style visuals that take centre stage in Louis Vuitton’s SS26 men’s pre-collection campaign. Shot at an old English hillside manor by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the imagery and accompanying short film pens a portrait of a refined, gentlemanly and quietly eccentric pastoral elegance.
Embodying today’s worldly traveller, the friend of the house and English footballer, and the London-born actor and house ambassador appear alongside models who channel a distinctly modern take on old-world sophistication, their ease and attitude nodding to a new kind of Englishness: less stiff upper lip, more lived-in romance.
The collection itself, drawn from the mind of menswear creative director Pharrell Williams, explores Louis Vuitton’s pastoral muses with a particular appreciation for the maison’s heritage of refined tailoring. Workwear-inflected tailoring emerges in the shape of the Prince of Wales LV Monogram jacket and waistcoat as well as a herringbone overcoat with shoulders sharp enough to cut diamonds. Those pieces, along with a three-piece virgin wool suit, flare out slightly at their hems with just the subtlest of slouches at the hips, lending structure and a sense of movement. Sophisticated staples make up the rest of the offering: think classic ribbed sailor-collar zip-ups, flannels and jeans that sit alongside hybrid styles like a leather-sleeved windbreaker, a tweed-shelled blouson and a Monogram quilted gilet.
On foot, a ‘90s style low-top trainer with a skate-era soul – with its LV logo-etched padded tongue and wide, flat Damier rubber sole – steps forward as a key protagonist. Called the LV Titled, the trainer pairs itself with a line of practical bags and backpacks – the LV Touch – which places raw-cut suede accents on supple, grained calfskin, affirming the house’s longstanding legacy of Italian leather savoir-faire.
Completing the vision is a playful pet accessory capsule that counts LV Monogram leather leashes, collars, harnesses, breed-specific cleanup bag dispensers, puffer jackets and a fleece throw. That’s not to mention all the elegant, travel-inspired pet carriers that are up for grabs too, such as the Speedy Pet Trunk, the Malle Chien, the Kennel Trunk, the Neverfull for pets, the Sac Chien, the Dog Bed Trunk and the pet Backpack. Donned by, amongst others, royal British breeds like the Welsh Corgi, English Cocker Spaniel and Border Collie, keeping your pooch close by and comfortable has never looked so suave.
The first drop of the collection is available online and in stores now, with the second drop set for November 11.
