Cartier’s Latest Gold-Cast Coffee Bean Piece

|
Written By:

A coffee bean cast in yellow gold sounds faintly absurd until Cartier gets hold of it. The maison’s latest Grain de Café necklace turns the everyday staple into a fluid high jewellery piece built from hand-woven mesh, bean-shaped fringes and a concealed clasp that disappears into the design.

Drawing on Cartier’s Palmier chain, the necklace sits against the body with a liquid softness, while geometric settings punctuate the fine gold structure with flashes of light. The result is a less rigid statement piece, more metallic fabric – impossibly delicate and engineered to move with the wearer.
