If this Louis Vuitton bag could speak… “If you didn’t get a chance to catch me on the runway, the whole show is available online. Treat yourself! Notice the ‘office set in a faraway space lounge future’ – talk about set building. Of all the clothes and accessories, I, the flying-saucer bag – unofficial name – came across as the one all the front row wanted. Looking like I’ve been beamed in from an 1980s episode of Star Trek, my shape and hand-stitched, LV-monogrammed leather are as fun as they are intergalactic in inspiration. One thing you can say about Louis Vuitton is they’re never short of ideas when it comes to must-grab accessories. There’s a new shape and style and way to wear, every single season. Am I the new Archlight trainer? Quite possibly. There’s something as out-there and cool about my shape as there is in those now-legendary high-incline sneakers. Also, my wristlet strap lends me a cheekiness that’s been lacking in designer bags for a few seasons. Others cross, I swing – how cool is that? By the way, it’s indicative of designer Nicolas Ghesquière’s work that I am made using age-old techniques, developed over many years, yet originate from a sketch by Ghesquière that illustrated something from an imagined sci- future. It’s the kind of thing that makes Louis Vuitton a house of refreshing new ideas and experiments.”
