The Song for the Mute men and women are on a mission. Making their way around the Kangaroo Valley, hunting for beauty within solitude, this is their ultimate wardrobe. What does one wear when exploring rural Australia? Earthy brown mohair and sharp ivory denim. We like to get it done in style. The men make their way up hills with sticks in hands, loose weave tweed in ochre, dark blues and deep reds and practical parachute-esque workwear in shades of cool with drawstrings and pockets. Bags are slung cross-body with plenty of layered compartments. The collection marks the beginning of a new collaborative chapter for Song for the Mute, including a 5-piece collab with New Era including three hats and two bag styles in the technical fabrics used within the collection. And it gets better. Working with holistic skincare brand Leparr, Song for the Mute have created an olfactory roll-on scent from ingredients sourced in the Kangaroo Valley. We’re feeling patriotic. We don’t just wear collections anymore, we live them.
To celebrate, Song for the Mute are opening a special space in the Rocks in collaboration with artists focusing on sight, smell and touch. The space will be open for 5 weeks as of today, with limited edition lifestyle pieces available for the first time. One item will be released per week. So if you’re going to camp out for the exclusive pieces weekly, the Hunter collection is obvs what to do it in.
The pop-up will be located at 79 George Street, The Rocks from September 4th until October 4th.
