It was the Prada Resort collection titled ‘Seditious Simplicity’ that showed in New York City, and now it takes to the streets in an inception-esque campaign. Celebrating the everyday and ‘realness’ Mrs Prada has gone back to basics (as basic as Prada gets) to celebrate simplicity and the beauty of today. Well, today is a gift, that’s why it is called the present. But we digress. New York-based photographer Drew Vickers has created calm, powerful black and white portraits that sit alongside Japanese photographer Keizo Kitajima’s photographs of the Prada people on the move. The campaign features inside the campaign – the chosen ones in motion, hold bouquets wrapped in paper images. Oh, the clever romance of it all. Freja Beha Erichsen, Lexi Boling and Sara Blomqvist are joined by Stella Jones, Xiao Wen Ju, Xara Maria, Vik Nahishakiye, Ashley Radjarame, Kyla Ramsay, Toni Smith, Qun Y, Freek Men and Yang Hao as reality and fantasy are blurred. As is always the way with Prada. Our kind of simplicity.
