Prada and Sotheby’s are joining forces to release a selection of brilliant bits from the ‘Tools of Memory’ collection in an online auction to raise funds for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). The organisation aims to safeguard learning for students around the world who’s education has been compromised in the face of Covid-19. Prada will specifically benefit UNESCO’S new campaign Keeping Girls in the Picture and their Global Education Coalition’s Gender Flagship, which has been promoting continued learning during closures of schools and ensuring a safe return to educational spaces for women globally. Each item selected for auction is an original piece from the Prada AW20 Mens and Women’s shows, including special garment worn by models as well as photographic prints, seat cards, objects from the runway set and the vinyl of the show music. The sale features 72 pieces and will open for bidding on Sotheby’s website on October 2nd until October 15th.
