In the song out of 2018, Drake rapped: “I buy you champagne but you love some Henny.” It was us he was talking about, obvs. We love a bit of Hennessy. Drink of choice. Hennessy knows what’s up, they always have and now Hennessy Australia have announced their new campaign #HowWeHennessy celebrating the vanguards that are all over the culture happening here. Julian Cincotta, the executive chef of our (and every hip hop visiting) go to for chicken and kicks, Butter Sydney. “I wanted more,” Cincotta said on his journey. “I wanted to connect with people. Butter is not a restaurant, its not a bar, nor a retail store. Its a culture. Don’t be afraid to challenge conventions…” We do like a newfound culture. Another chosen one, tattoo artist Heath Nock, has been in the game for 14 years is one of the five vanguards, who says that “ultimately it comes down to hard work. Really hard work. And being true to what you do. No bullshit.” He gets us. To further celebrate the campaign, street artist Vhils has worked on a Very Special bottle of Hennessy, set to be unveiled tonight at a party where Manu Crooks, Kwame and Nadia Rose will be getting down. A party fuelled by Very Special Hennessy. Vhils has also created a series of mural installation in cities around the globe. Oh Hennessy, take over our lives.
