Phresh off the runway, Kim Jones’ Dior Men came dripping in swag and all that Miami heat at Miami Beach for Pre-Fall 2020. All of Kim Jones’ Dior silhouettes were there, this time seen through a kaleidoscope of pulsating prints and jungle-ready tropical wools that spelt Dior – less logomania, more psychedelia. The logo is a collaboration with Shawn Stussy in a graffiti style, also interpreted in the jewellery by our dream jewelled up queen Yoon Ahn. The Saddle Bag was the star of the show, strapped cleverly around their bodies, front and centre, with a new limited edition metal Saddle revealed. Slick. The collection was based from the founding principles of the New Look that Christian Dior designed in 1947: youth, vitality and the spirit of the new. Yes, we felt the spirit (and heat) of Dior, of Jones and the youth who filled the front row. Sizzling.
