A collection fit for a vampire or Mr Wintergarden. If you know, you know. We imagine that the most sinister, fabulously wicked villains would wear Sarah Burton’s Alexander McQueen menswear collection for Spring Summer 2020. There as a severe sense of smart, slick and sinful here. In the sneakiest way. Burton’s expert razor-sharp tailoring on a half-kilted knee-length wintery grey suit jacket complete with perfect pants looked so cool after shiny white suits embroidered with sketched florals. Print of pressed flowers oozed a saturated pink that turned into a full piece suit. Don’t hold back. A suit jacket lathered in crystal embroidery was echoed in warrior-style earrings. A look for the vampire in 2019, we’re telling you. The sneakers were done cleverly in that they didn’t feel or look like sneakers. Just simply good stomping ground shoes with laces. The future. The final look of the presentation was a black wool long ruffle-skirted jacket fit for a king. Sarah Burton is so great at fulfilling the McQueen menswear prophecy. And of course, in the end, the villain is just simply misunderstood and kind under all that darkness. A man in McQueen could only do good.
