Look good, do good. The Upside has collaborated with R U OK to raise awareness around mental health. Through October 12, The Upside is donating $10 from each sale of its classic tank to the R U OK organisation. The campaign, photographed by George Egan sees some of our favourites working it. “As a long-time supporter of Mental Health Awareness it is so wonderful to see that these issues are being brought of the dark,” says Jodi Meares. “Communication is the universal solvent, making it more acceptable for people to speak up and receive the support they desperately need. The contemporary approach to mental health, is now much more holistic in recognising that a healthy lifestyle is central to keeping a balance between mind, body and spirit – a fundamental way to assist your wellbeing.” Ain’t that the truth. “The mind creates your reality,” says actress Isabelle Cornish. “Mental health is important to me because every thought that blossoms in the mind has the power to affect every aspect of life. Think right, feel right. I like to practice positive affirmation. I make sure to speak to myself with love, kindness and compassion.” The tank is available online and in-store now.
