Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent Rive Droite store continues to thrive. The next big thing happening in the concept store – after a Kate Moss book signing earlier this month – is a new exhibition, ‘Dark Shadows’. The exhibition, curated by Vaccrello opened in parallel with Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain, and is a series of sculptures, photographs and artworks, including: Robert Mapplethorpe’s Polaroids: Untitled (S&M Gear) 1972; Untitled (Tony London), 1973; Untitled (Helen Marden’s Bats), 1974; are showcased together with Omaha to New York, 2000, a cinematic imagery loaded Ed Ruscha painting; a paintstick on handmade paper by Richard Serra and Head (1950-55) a ballpoint pen on invitation card by Alberto Giacometti. Sculptures signed by Lucio Fontana and Sterling Ruby’s brilliant Vampire 118 are available for purchase. Rive Droite is our dark happy place.
