Just when you thought the genius of Virgil Abloh couldn’t infiltrate into our lives anymore… he designs pillowcases. The Off-White designer and Louis Vuitton menswear creative director has created the first homeware collection for Off-White, titled “Home”. Quotation marks supposedly included. Abloh, who has a Masters of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has become a master of marketing through Off-White, has designed mugs, bed sets, bathroom towels and bathrobes. The collection is simple, with the classic Off-White arrow-ended cross embroidered and marking the spot on pillowcases as well as on a big neon orange rug which will obvs become the hypebeast’s next chosen object of desire. Ceramic white bowls and mugs are softly sketched with bic pen-blue tufts of grass, birds and bees. Summertime and the living’s easy kind of stuff. This is a real life level up from the Off-White Ikea collaboration last year. We like this evolution.
