TIMOTHEE CHALAMET AS... EDGAR SCISSORHANDS
It’s Super Bowl Sunday (Monday) and Timothée Chalamet and Winona Ryder have already made our day. Timothée stars as Edgar Scissorhands in a new Super Bowl ad, alongside Winona Ryder, reprising her role as Kim Boggs from Tim Burton’s 1990 film: “This is the story of a boy with scissors for hands,” Ryder narrates. “No, not that one.” Edgar navigates the modern day world, in what is a 90-second Cadillac Lyriq advert. Hands-free. Directed by David Shane, the ad has been approved by Tim Burton himself: “It’s rare when a work you’re proud of continues to live on and evolve with the times, even after 30 years,” he says in a statement. “I’m glad to see Edgar coping with the new world! I hope both fans and those being introduced to Edward Scissorhands for the first time enjoy it.” Watch the ad above.
