Wow, this week has been a mad one! It seems like the fashion industry has woken up again after a 15-month slumber. There’s absolutely loads to get through, so shall we just get started?

Remember when Kristen Stewart was the lone audience member at the Chanel Métiers d’art 2020/21 show back in December? Well, it turns out she’s fronting the collection’s campaign, too! The actress and Chanel muse is captured by Juergen Teller as she swans around the lavish grounds of Château de Chenonceau, looking as elegant as always.

Fashion Week comes to IMVU

IMVU is putting on a fashion show! Seven emerging designers – including Collina Strada, Mowalola and Mimi Wade – will host a fully immersive fashion show that will be streamed on the video game’s YouTube channel May 27 and 28. Expect boundary-pushing fashions beamed straight into the URL stratosphere, where the digital designer garb can be bought as skins straight after. Oh, and if all that hasn’t tickled your pickle, exclusive pieces will actually be sold as NFTs, meaning your avatar can wear one-of-a-kind pieces no one else has access to. All your virtual mates are going to be well jel.

NUBA and Johanna Parv come to Machine-A

A true champion of emerging talent, Soho hotspot Machine-A was the first store to give the likes of Grace Wales Bonnerand Kiko Kostadinov their first big break when it came to stocking their pieces in-store. Through Machine-A’s annual Graduate Project, founder Stavros Karelis has allowed fresh talent to skip the usual pressures of the traditional buying schedule – teaching each graduate the ropes when it comes to launching a successful fashion business. This year, Karelis has chosen two Central Saint Martins grads: Johanna Parv, whose cycling mad womenswear also caught the eye of Sarah Mower in 10 Magazine Issue 17, and Cameron Williams, whose label NUBA showcases traditional dress through a contemporary vision.

Craig Green’s got a book (and it’s free!)

When it came to photographing his SS21 collection, Craig Green turned to his mate Jack Davidson, whose tender snapshots have been collated together in a book. Today only, customers heading down to Dover Street Market will be able to get their hands on a copy for FREE! You best had get your skates on before they’re gone forever…

Pyer Moss is back!

Some good news for all you Pyer Moss fans out there. The New York label has been invited by Fédération de la Haute Couture to show at the official couture week this coming July. Kerby Jean-Raymond is the first Black American designer to be invited to show at the prestigious event, where he will show his latest collection – and his first since SS20! – alongside the likes of Dior, Valentino and Balenciaga, where Demna Gvasalia will be unveiling his highly anticipated debut couture collection.

Gucci’s Beloved Lines lands at Harrods

The Gucci Beloved Lines have landed at Harrods. Yes, that’s right, all of Alessandro Michele’s favourite Gucci bags have a new, entirely dedicated space at the Knightbridge store – where you can shop till your heart’s content. And that’s not all. This week, Alessandro Michele announced that he’ll be showing his next collection for the house in Los Angeles this November. Get ready for Gucci stateside.

Moschino returns to NYC

After carting the fashion pack off to the Big Apple for his Moschino Pre-Fall 2020 subway bonanza, Jeremy Scott will showcase his SS22 collection for the house in NYC this September. The next New York Fashion Week is shaping up to be one momentous occasion, with the likes of Thom Browne, Rodarte and Telfar all confirming they will be showing in the city – followed by the all-American Met Gala on September 13.

A Lacoste illusion

Teaming up with esteemed photographer Sam Rock, Louise Trotter’s AW21 Lacoste collection is a trick of the eye. Working in either supersized or shrunken proportions, the designer has morphed the Lacoste croc into a load of cartoon characters, which decorate trompe l’oeil shirting, cardies, and ace duster coats.

A boxing match at Dover Street Market

Whilst you’re picking up your Craig Green book at DSM, take a look at the epic new Comme des Garçons Shirt installation on the ground floor. Resembling a boxing ring, the energetic set-up marks the launch of the brand’s exciting collab with Yue Minjun, which features shirts, shorts and tees emblazoned in pink, laughing faces.

New Boiler Room merch alert

Who doesn’t love a bit of Boiler Room merch? Gearing up to the big re-opening of the clubs this summer, Boiler Room’s latest additions to its core collection include shellsuit trackies and ravey running shorts. “This season we’re honing in on our core product offering with a focus on quality, unconventional dye techniques, wholly new silhouettes and woven fabrics, to create a collection that evokes the industrial spaces we all hope to soon rave in,” said the brand. “Our SS21 collection coincides with a diverse and ambitious presentation of digital events, talks and broadcasts of small capacity parties from around the world.” Get your dancing shoes on, this is set to be one epic summer.

Loewe comes to Sotheby’s

Jonathan Anderson loves a good collab, and for his latest Loewe team-up, he’s turned to esteemed auction house Sotheby’s. Dubbed Loewe Weaves, the project is a collection of artisanal objects – from woven leather bags to baskets and accessories – which will be available on Loewe’s website from May 27.
