MONCLER PRESENTS MONDOGENIUS
Five cities. Eleven collections. Eleven designers. Moncler Genius went worldwide this weekend, uniting through the Mondogenius digital experience. Alicia Keys opened the event from Milan with Victoria Song in Shanghai before Moncler took us to Tokyo, Seoul, New York and back again. Live from New York, Solange Knowles performed alongside Khalik Allah-directed performance film Rest Your, as Veronica Leoni’s 2 Moncler 1952 Woman collection was presented. We do love a Solange moment. Elsewhere in a New York City apartment, Matthew Williams’ 6 Moncler 1017 Alyx 9SM collection was shown featuring an epic soundtrack by Teezo Touchdown. In Seoul, the Moncler + Gentle Monster collaboration took over the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. In Tokyo, 4 Moncler Hyke was introduced by Japanese actress Anne and actor Sota Fukushi inside the atrium of the Teleom Centre Building.
To Milan, 2 Moncler 1952 Man was presented as an exhibition, 5 Moncler Craig Green was stationed at Stazione Central amongst sculptural structures, 8 Moncler Palm Angels featured a treasure hunt around a reimagined American vintage store, and J-Dubz took us into a vintage movie theatre to present 1 Moncler JW Anderson. In Shanghai, 3 Moncler Grenoble opened the experience with INTO1 members asking: “ Are you ready to fly?” before defying gravity floating through the air; elsewhere 7 Moncler Frgmt Hiroshi Fujiwara presented life-size screen projected images of models wearing the collection on the streets of Tokyo, London, Bristol, Milan and Vancouver; and Moncler + Dingyun Zhang transformed Tank 5 into a mountain tundra for serious drama.
“Today is not only about products, but is even more about our communities and the culture we want to shape together,” said Remo Ruffinin. “The world is changing, people do not want the same things as before, they demand and expect more from brands. Today, we must find new ways to connect and engage, becoming pioneers of new messages. The greatest inspirations I had in my life came directly from people and at Moncler we know that the more we inspire people, the more they inspire us. I truly believe in the power of connecting communities around experiences and creative visions. This is the principle that guided the creation of Moncler Genius for 2021.’ We believe in Moncler’s power. To infinity and beyond.
