We do love a subtropical Hermès store, quite simply next level, with the attention to detail as seamless as the steady stream of fabulous accessories that we cherish. In the heart of Brisbane, reopening after a clever renovation the store has captured all the local nuances of the Queensland environment, sunshine, light and the ocean. Brisbane follows in the wake of the Hermès opening in Sydney last year, which is still the best store in town with its incredible staircase and the rest. The Brisbane store is much like walking into a lush private home, with a living room that makes for easy, cosy upscale purchasing with homewares and the Hippomobile tea service too. With a fabulous ceramic lush green wall, and rugs the colour of eucalyptus leaves, the Constance bag (created in 1967) and a whole slew of silks everything is perfectly framed, and calling us. And so, another trip to Brisbane is booked.
