Welcome to the family. The Runner sneaker is the new kid on the Balenciaga block and yes, it is the shoe Bieber wore in the recent campaign. A little more rebellious than it's elders (the Track and the Triple S) the Runner is a remix of previous designs, featuring a 'cut-and-paste' feel, with raw edges, glue marks, seams on show. DIY Balenciaga. The sneakers still remain high-tech and lightweight, with layers of mesh, nylon and injection-bolded polyurethane created to look pre-worn pieced together. Of course, the House's logo is on the shoe - wouldn't be a Balenciaga sneaker without it - stamped and embroidered on different areas in multiple sizes. Demna keeps us on our toes.

The first drop available now in Melbourne Collins Street and online. A second drop will land on Australian shores in late August.
