Prada’s Re-Nylon ‘What We Carry’ series unofficial motto is ‘turning trash to treasure’. Anything Prada touches is treasured, and in the fourth episode of the sustainability focused series, sees National Geographic Explorer and photo journalist Hannah Reyes Morales and Chinese actor and Prada reporter Wei Daxun travel to China. They visit the clothing factory Parawin in Ganzhou City which houses approximately 300 workers across every part of garment production. Parawin’s mission, in collaboration with Econyl textile yarn producer Aqua 1, is to recycle discarded textile cuttings to be transformed into the Econyl regenerated nylon and ultimately used for Prada Re-Nylon. Parawin is the first factory to partner with Aqua l to recycle their waste fabric. Prada proving what we carry can, and does, make a difference. Watch the episode below.
