For those ready to slay for ten days, the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas Fashion Hub is here for 2019. Chosen ones, Angelica Cheung, Bandana Tewari, Fanny Moizant, Sharon Gal, William A. Ewing and Dr Toby Slade are hanging out in Sydney with over 40 seminars, workshops, films and children’s programming over the course of 10 days to educate and provide insight into the future of fashion. “SCCI Fashion Hub 2019 aims to deepen and expand upon the previously explored fashion thématique, as well as introducing new fields of inquiry,” said it’s founder Dr Gene Sherman AM. “In the 2019 iteration, additional historical periods will be explored. Geographical spread will be amplified. We look forward to bringing to the attention of a broad and specialised public, the most expansive views – both positive and negative – on fashion in its evolving complexity.” Each commentator will speak on the changing nature of fashion as well as panel discussion Deep Dive Forums will look into historic moments and the contemporary.
