We step into a room, remnants of artists that inhabited this space before remain. There are paint splatters across the floor that creep up the walls, so many random objects that have been left so long they now belong to this space. Enter Alys Hale and her Rickenbacker. The space once again transforms. It is now, the rehearsal room. She tunes her electric guitar, her voice echoing bouncing off the walls. We are reminded of Cat Stevens, smooth deep crooning, those in between moments. Verse to verse chord to chord. Sitting on her amp, nails perfectly polished, pitch black as she strokes those strings with her Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Moon strapped to her wrist. Keeping time. She strums and hums and we are hypnotically drawn into her orbit.
