Gucci is getting its artist collaboration on again, this time with Spanish artist Coco Capitán. The collaboration is already iconic – Capitán’s work was part of the Gucci AW17 womenswear collection where two pieces shown featured her signature handwritten aphorisms, specifically the embellished head to toe body suit underneath denim shorts and Capitán’s “Common sense is not that common” message scrolled onto a Gucci singlet that went viral. Rihanna then went onto wear the look at Coachella. As we said, iconic. Such a success, the collaboration has resulted in a special range including backpacks, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, knits, coats, belt bags etc etc. A whole lotta unisex goodness. In celebration, Gucci has naturally worked up another Art Wall project with Capitán where her work is adorning a 2500 square foot wall on Lafayette Street, New York and in Milan’s Largo la Foppa. We do love a Gucci takeover. The collection is available now here.
